No Alternative Health Care

Ask yourself this question. What is the alternative to your learning and practicing the activities of nutritious eating, regular rest and exercise, recreation, self-reflection, caring relationships and right livelihood? Each is essential to your health. There is no alternative to them and no one else can do these activities for you. No pill nor therapy can ever remove the ill effects of junk food, lack of exercise, lack of rest and recreation, ignorance, worry and fear, conflict in your relationships and unsatisfying work. To the degree that you have not been trained in these fundamental skills of living, your health suffers, and you become increasingly reliant upon treatments, pills and "cures." You find yourself turning to medicine, asking it to perform miracles for you that it cannot and was never meant to perform.

What Results can you expect from studying and practicing the disciplines of Self-Healing?

The short answer is, "You can expect to get out of this exactly what you put into it." Could you reasonably ask for anything more?

The longer answer goes like this: these disciplines always produce benefit.  You can bet your Health on it.  Reducing sugar and coffee, eating quality food, getting a good night's sleep, practicing regular exercise, and respecting rather than shaming yourself are not medicines. Like the laws of gravity, these disciplines do not SOMETIMES work. They ALWAYS work.  These activities have been the foundation of every lasting approach to health and happiness in every culture throughout all time.

Every meal you eat, thought you think, and movement you perform rewards you or punishes you. When you are living poorly there is no escaping the consequences. When you are living well, you are constantly enjoying the fruits of your own caring actions.

In general, these practices produce benefit for the whole of you rather than for any specific organ or function. The specific benefits to any part are usually the result of a strengthening, nourishing and resting of the whole.

Typically, your entire system improves in general, non-specific ways:

♥    You feel stronger and much more energetic;
♥    You sleep more soundly;
♥    Your periods are less troublesome;
♥    Your joints become less stiff and sore;
♥    You digest food better;
♥    You can concentrate and think clearly, and remember more;
♥    You find yourself in better moods and generally happier.

As you heal and strengthen in these general, non-specific ways, you will discover that many of your specific symptoms lessen in frequency and severity.

Studying and practicing the skills of self-healing is among the soundest financial investments you can make. Practiced together with medicine, it is significantly more cost effective than taking a medical approach alone.  Imagine if all that mental, emotional, and physical energy were invested directly in studying, loving, and doing what produces beauty, strength and aliveness!

By practicing what is essential to regain and maintain your health, you save the time and money you would have otherwise spent on attempts to "cure" problems that you are actually creating yourself.  Further, you gain the time and accomplish tasks that you otherwise don’t because of pain and lowered energy.  You recoup the energy that you have been investing in self-destructive activities.

Health education doesn't cost—it pays! Recall the saying that "health is the basis of all wealth."  Every lesson that you learn and practice will continue to improve your strength and vitality for the rest of your life; in a short time, your initial investment educating yourself begins to pay you back real money. The rewards of fewer illnesses, greater energy, clearer thought, improved concentration and better moods, will, without fail, improve the quality of your work. Better quality work translates directly into dollars. (If health, clarity, and vitality didn’t translate into dollars, they’d have no “real” worth, right?)

Becoming educated in practical self-care does not mean that you need ignore intelligent medical therapies that provide symptomatic relief. Health education and medical therapies enhance one another. The optimal approach to health care includes BOTH a foundation of education to address the underlying causes of your symptoms AND principle-centered medical care.

In summary—IF:
♥    You want to learn what you, yourself can do to take better care of your health;
♥    If you see it as common sense that your health and happiness are primarily the product of your own actions;
♥    If you are genuinely interested in learning how to better care for your health—not solely for the hope of relief but even more so because you value yourself that much;

THEN:
♥    You will find your personalized Health program to be one of the greater gifts you have ever given yourself.
